Day -1
A Letter from Namrata
I received this letter from my ridiculously good friend and Health Sci survivor, Namrata. Posted with permission.
Dear Brit,
You’re leaving tomorrow. <Insert sappy stuff>. But you deserve this. <Insert congratulatory stuff>. But I’ll miss you. <Insert more sappy stuff>. Mostly because I’m going to be worrying about midterms while you’ll be eating homemade foodage in Austin. But to make sure that I sort of come along for the ride, I made the following challenge. You are to take a picture of the following and blog about it when you do:
1. A Canadian in the US. An American in Canada. [Leah. If you are reading this I am looking at you]
2. Someone who goes/went to Harvard.
3. An American flag/pin next to a Canadian one.
4. The largest size of McDonalds’ fries.
5. Someone who I think is famous.
6. A full fledged Texan Cowboy.
7. Apple pie with Poutine (I mean next to)
8. Shells on a beach.
9. A ‘Vote for Rick Perry’ sign. (courtesy of someone else. It counts)
10. The colours red, white and blue.
11. You. Dressing Room. Dress.
12. A vietnamese meal. Send me a postcard after.
13. Someone reading a cheesy romance novel.
14. A picture of the car on day 40.
15. Flat land. SK. Land as far as the eye can see.
16. Date meal.
17. Anything with ‘Ferguson’ on it.
18. Daisies.
19. Avocados.
20. Bring me back something from Disney Land!
21. A picture of anything Lion King like.
See you in November over avocado milkshakes,
N.
Challenge accepted.
Any other ridiculously awesome ideas? Post in the comment section :)
Seeing that the challenge was over in November, are you able to cross anything else off the list or is that the final tally?

What’s the significance of Day 40?
Something from textsfromlastnight / lookatthisfuckinghipster
Moon towers in Austin (2 points each)
people playing Quidditch
Hhmmm… How about: a Canadian shaking hands with Mickey Mouse, then kissing Minnie behind his back?! Hahahahaha!
1. DONE AND DONE
oops, forgot the most important request:
Please run over Michael Moore. He lives in a mansion somewhere in Michigan. Thanks.
Hi Britt. Happy trails. My challenge is to stop at the old Gibson guitar factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan (on Parsons Street) and do one or all of the following:
1. buy me a Heritage Les Paul and/or
2. get a picture of the brick chimney stack that still says Gibson even though it’s now the Heritage Guitar co. and/or
3. just stay safe and come home eventually.
PS. will you come and do a session on image-making for my grade 9 CTS class? It’s all about cameras and such.
Half of those you will definitely find in Texas. The something with “Ferguson” on it -well, you will just have to come over when you get home. ;) Have a great time!
I look forward to the “something with Ferguson on it”…..
*chuckles….have a few ideas
Also, best one here is “You. Dressing Room. Dress.” ;-)
Disneyland is gonna be a blast!!!
So, you are going to do all of this in Austin ;-)
Dani. I am looking at you.
An American in Canada? That’s going to be tough…. :P
And now I want an avocado milkshake…. with pearls.
